Fototypes is a project developed for the social media platform Instagram. Its aim is to present photographic records focused on typography, lettering, and calligraphy found in different places and applied to various media and communication products.
We consider these examples important contributions due to their value as graphic and typographic heritage, as well as aesthetic and historical references within the cultural memory of cities.
Due to the evolution of communication, brands, and their dynamics, much of this heritage has disappeared or lost its original communicative function. Therefore, considering the importance of this visual archive, the project also aims to preserve and present this cultural heritage, contributing to its study and appreciation.
