Calligraphy and Exhibition

This workshop was divided into two distinct phases. The first consisted of a theoretical and explanatory approach on the subject. The second, in the execution of a calligraphic practical exercise, exploring a particular alphabet.

Exploring the concepts of manual labour as an alternative to the use of digital tools, it was intended through this workshop, make a theoretical approach about the history of calligraphy and it’s main alphabets. The history, origin and evolution of writing and alphabets; Introduction and presentation about materials and techniques for the implementation of calligraphic exercises; visual expression and calligraphic compositions.
